It's Simple! I let the beads drive the piece. When shopping for beads, a color or shape grabs my attention, and I suddenly know what I want to create. </font></p> <p><font face="Times New Roman" size="4"> Once I purchase the beads, it's a matter of time before I am ready to complete. String, a bead board and lots of imagination gets my juices flowing and before I know it... Viola! I have surprised myself on many occasions. </font></p> <p><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">My best pieces are original designs and makeovers. I especially enjoy taking something that is old and/or outdated and updating it into a 21st Century fashion piece. </font></p> <p><font size="4" face="Times New Roman"> My absolute favorite make over is the Antique Amethyst Strand of Crystals with Silver Clasp. Originally a 3 strand necklace with multiple sizes of crystal beads, the original beaded necklace dates back to before 1920. Out of date (and falling apart), it has been restrung numerous times in the last 20 years. It was (again) restrung recently and is pictured here.
